How Are Rigid Boxes Made?
Rigid boxes are premium packaging made by wrapping a printed substrate around chipboard. Below is the full 5-step process from board sizing to final wrapping.

Step 1: Sizing
Rigid boxes start from flat chipboard (typically 800gsm+) that is cut and scored to the required dimensions before folding.

Step 2: Folding
The chipboard sides are folded upward and aligned to create the base structure of the rigid box.

Step 3: Taping
Once folded, each wall is secured with tape to lock the skeleton and maintain structural integrity.

Step 4: Printing
A design is printed on the substrate layer, then finished with lamination and premium add-ons like foil or embossing.

Step 5: Wrapping
The substrate is wrapped and glued around the chipboard, extending slightly inside for clean edges and a premium finish.
